This  report  was  compiled  by  the  University  of  Copenhagen's  Research  Centre  for  Migration,  Ethnicity  and  Health  (MESU),  in  collaboration  with  experts  from  the  University  of  Amsterdam  based  at  the  Academic  Medical  Centre  (AMC)  and  the  Amsterdam  Institute  for  Social  Science  Research  (AISSR).  It  forms  part  of  the  first  work  package  of  the  project  MEM‐TP  (Training packages for health professionals to improve access and quality of health services for migrants and ethnic minorities, including the Roma).  The  title  of  WP1  is  Review of the migrant and ethnic minorities' situation in the EU and identifying common challenges and best practices to provide an overview of the issues of relevance to the development of training for health professionals. This WP  resulted  in  two  deliverables:  firstly  the  present  report,  and  secondly  a  series  of  Appendices  providing detailed information to accompany it.
