Strengthening Key Local Actors' Capacity to Address the Risks Associated with Irregular Migration in Areas with High Levels of Internal/External Migration in Nicaragua

The aim of the proposal is to strengthen the capacities and articulations between local actors and civil organizations to respond to the challenges in terms of attention to migrants and their families in communities of origin and transit. This through three axes of action: a) Information Management on human mobility; b) Psychosocial care from a community approach c) Prevention and Communication, which includes strengthening information windows and community communication strategies for the prevention of risks associated with irregular migration and trafficking in persons

Assisting Jamaica to Combat Child Trafficking

The goal of this project is to engage and support the GOJ, as well as key civil society organizations to enhance their capacity to successfully prosecute, investigate and prevent child trafficking while protecting child victims. Objectives: 1. Establish a minimum of 3 multidisciplinary, child-friendly spaces across the country for interviewing child trafficking victims and providing medical and psychosocial care immediately following their removal from trafficking situations 2.

The MIPEX Health strand: a longitudinal, mixedmethods survey of policies on migrant health in 38 countries

Abstract 
 
Background Within health systems, equity between migrants and native-born citizens is still a long way from being achieved. Benchmarking the equitability of policies on migrant health is essential for monitoring progress and identifying positive and negative aspects of national policies. For this purpose, the 2015 round of the Migrant Integration Policy Index (MIPEX) was expanded to include a strand on health, in a collaborative project carried out between 2013 and 2017 in 38 countries.
