MHPSS and Well-being Promotion Campaign: IDPs Well-being

This set of Information, Education and Communication (IEC) materials was produced by the Mental Health and Psychosocial Support unit of IOM South Sudan. It focuses on the promotion of well-being among conflict-affected, internally displaced persons (IDPs) and communities. It aims at raising awareness among IDPs on positive coping strategies and ways of regular self-care, as well as internal and external support structures available in the community like peer-to-peer support.

Provision of Life-Saving Emergency Integrated Primary Health Care and Outbreak Response Services through Static and Mobile Clinics, and Rapid Response Teams

This project will provide life-saving emergency integrated primary health care (PHC) and outbreak response services through IOM static and mobile clinics, as well as through rapid response teams (RRT). Using SSHF support, three primary health care units (PHCU), two primary health-care centres (PHCC) and four mobile units will continue to provide the basic package of health and nutrition services to internally displaced persons (IDPs) and conflict-affected host communities in Bentiu and Wau Protection of Civilian (PoC) sites, serving a total catchment population of 90,680 beneficiaries.

Supporting HIV Testing and Treatment Services in South Sudan

Awareness raising: IOM will conduct peer to peer outreach sessions. • HIV testing and treatment: IOM will continue to provide HIV testing and treatment services through the prevention of mother to child treatment (PMTCT) programme and comprehensive HIV testing and treatment. • Integration of GBV messaging: IOM also intends to continue integrated GBV and mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) messages within the HIV/AIDS outreach sessions.

Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) Screening and Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Activities

The program aims to save lives and preserve the dignity of vulnerable populations including displaced people and host communities through increased access to safe, equitable and adequate Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Promotion (WASH) services and by responding to and preventing Gender-Based Violence (GBV).

Screening and Prevention Activities to Support EVD Preparedness in South Sudan

IOM will continue to contribute towards South Sudan's preparedness for potential transmissions of EVD through screening of arrivals at POE, immediate management and reporting of suspected cases of EVD, and implementing the minimum IPC interventions in the identified priority areas. The project will contribute towards EVD preparedness efforts in South Sudan through screening and prevention activities at key POE.

Provision of Emergency CCCM, DTM, Shelter-NFI, Health, MHPSS and WASH in South Sudan

The objective of this project is to contribute to preventing, reducing and mitigating serious protection threats for vulnerable populations who have been severely affected by the ongoing crisis in South Sudan, through the provision of multi-sector lifesaving humanitarian assistance. IOM South Sudan proposes to continue to implement a comprehensive multi-sector approach to address the critical needs life-saving needs in six sectors where IOM has significant technical, operational and strategic capacity to ensure effective and timely delivery of humanitarian assistance

Increasing Access and Strengthening Capacities of PHC to Provide Emergency Lifesaving Health Care Services in Bentiu, Wau and Malakal POC through the Provision of 4 PHCUs and 1 PHCC including Outbreak Response in Bentiu POC

This project will provide life-saving emergency and essential primary health care (PHC) services through seven static primary health care units (PHCU), seven mobile clinics and six health rapid response teams (RRT/M) missions. IOM will ensure services reach both internally displaced persons (IDPs) and conflict-affected host community members, prioritizing the greatest need.

Integrated Multi-Sector Assistance for Vulnerable, Conflict Affected Communities in South Sudan Republic

The objective of this Action is to contribute to preventing, reducing and mitigating protection threats for persons affected by crisis in South Sudan through the provision of multi-sector lifesaving humanitarian assistance. The Action will provide material assistance, such as water, site care and maintenance, shelter/non-food items (S-NFI) and medical assistance, as well as enhance the psychological wellbeing of affected populations through integrated protection programming.

Enhancing Human Security for Vulnerable Displaced Populations and Host Communities in South Sudan

The overall objective of this project is to contribute to preventing, reducing and mitigating serious protection concerns of vulnerable populations in South Sudan. The multi-sector approach addresses critical needs in three sectors where IOM has technical, operational and strategic capacity to ensure effective and timely delivery of assistance. Namely, through this project, IOM will provide health care services, shelter and non-food item (S-NFI) assistance and Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Promotion (WASH) services to Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and vulnerable host communities.
