Support to Community Stabilization of the Conflict-Affected Population in the Donbas

The overall objective of this action is to support increased social cohesion among vulnerable and conflict affected populations, thereby contributing to their socio-economic recovery. To achieve this objective, the project will provide social infrastructure upgrades, establishment of day-care centres linked with psychosocial support, job creation initiatives and community-based socio-cultural activities. The project will be an important contribution to the early recovery and better integration of IDPs within the host communities.

Support to Community Stabilization in the Donbas

The project will strive to ensure that people living in selected post-conflict communities of Donbas have access to social and public infrastructure, as well as opportunities to support their livelihoods. The project will assist in the inclusive revitalization of post-conflict areas by renovating and upgrading selected social infrastructure such as social, educational and medical facilities as well as providing livelihoods opportunities that benefit the whole community.

National profile of migration of health professionals - Ukraine

Worldwide mobility of health professionals (MoHProf) is a growing phenomenon, impacting the health systems of receiving, transit, and sending countries. EU Member States are increasingly affected by these developments - which might occur simultaneously within the same country. The health of trafficked women: A survey of women entering posttrafficking services in Europe

The trafficking of women and adolescents is increasingly recognized as one of the world’s fastest growing crimes and a significant violation of human rights. Despite the compelling need for evidence on the physical and psychological health consequences to inform rapidly emerging policies and services for trafficked persons, there is limited evidence about the needs of women who have been trafficked. We investigated the health of women and adolescent girls trafficked for sexual exploitation in Europe who were entering posttrafficking services.

United Kingdom Tuberculosis Detection Programme (UKTBP)

At the request of the Government of the United Kingdom, IOM implements the Tuberculosis (TB) Detection Programme for visa applicants who intend to stay in the UK for a period of 6 months or longer. The main purpose of the programme is to address public health concerns regarding the spread of infectious tuberculosis in the UK by preventing the entry of people suffering from active TB until they have been successfully treated, as well as to facilitate access to diagnostics and referrals for treatment in the migrants’ countries of origin.
