In Year 4, IOM also plans to work on the sustainability of the interventions piloted in Year 1 to 3. The aim is to empower state entities to implement the Joint Action Plan for TB prevention among migrants using a multi-sectoral approach as suggested by the USAID TB Control Program.

PROJECTS UNDER IMPLEMENTATION
The project propose to reduce TB incidence among vulnerable population and improve access to TB prevention and treatment.
Recognizing the Russian Federation as the main country of destination for Tajik migrant workers, this project proposal will support the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Republic of Tajikistan’s (MoHSP) initiative in establishing a cross border TB control mechanism with the Russian Federation and contribute to the implementation of the “Minimum Package for Cross Border TB Control and Care” among Tajik migrants.
Within the USAID TB Control Programme, IOM implements migration health component and plans to continue mainstreaming TB prevention and care interventions in the pre departure phase of migration and upon migrants’ return. based on the IOM’s successful practice within the USAID Dialogue on HIV and TB Project.

This project aims to increase TB detection among migrant workers and their families through outreach work, finding migrants and their families with suspect TB symptoms, referral suspect cases and social escort.
