Installation of Prefabricated Heath House Structures in Earthquake Affected Areas in Pakistan (IPHHP)

This project aims at providing structures for 150 clinics to be used as lady health houses in NWFP and PaK The designed structures of the proposed lady health houses will be large enough to accommodate 'grassroots' clinic equipment and staff. The project will provide quick-impact and low-cost non-permanent structures for the health houses to enhance the primary level health care services in the earthquake affected districts.

Enhanced Emergency Health Care Services for Flood Affected Displaced Population of Sindh, Pakistan (EEHC)

The principal objective of the project is to contribute to reduction in mortality and morbidity of disaster affected populations, including those affected by the 2011 floods. The specific objective of the project is to support vulnerable, flood affected populations through provision of emergency health care – curative and preventive services.

Emergency Primary Health Care Assistance to 2010 Monsoon Flood Affected Population in Host Communities and Strengthening of Healthcare Referral System in Southern Punjab and Southern Sindh, Islamabad

The project will contribute to the health response of the district healthcare system by providing specialised human resources for health, provision of essential and life-saving medicines for communicable disease control and certain non-communicable/chronic medical conditions and supporting existing or establisment of health referral system to facilitate timely access to secondary or tertiary health care. 

Emergency Health Referrals, Transfer and Assisted Hospital Discharge for Flood Affected Population in Southern Punjab, Pakistan

IOM in collaboration with the District Health Authorities of Muzaffargarh and Rajanpur will develop a patient flow system whereby emergency referrals of unstable patients will be facilitated to tertiary healthcare facilities in Multan and Bahawalpur and downstream referral and assisted discharge of stable patients back into the community will also be facilitated by IOM. 

Promoting Comprehensive Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights for Internal Migrants and Internally Displaced Populations Living in 756 Urban Slums in Sylhet City of Bangladesh

To improve the access to quality and comprehensive Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) care services for internal migrants and Internally Displaced Populations (IDPs) in 756 urban slums in Sylhet City Corporation in Sylhet Division of Bangladesh.

Strengthening the Capacity of the Government of Pakistan and Key Stakeholders in Addressing HIV Vulnerabilities of Pakistani Migrant Workers

The goal is to contribute to the Government of Pakistan's effort in reducing the vulnerability of Pakistani migrant workers by strengthening the capacity of the Pakistani Government's Bureau of Emigration nd Gulf Approved Medical Centres Association approved Medical Centres to provide appropriate HIV information, pre- and post- HIV test counselling and testing, and promote safe migration.

Strengthening Government’s Capacity of Selected South Asian Countries to Address the Health of Migrants through a Multi-Sector Approach in Bangladesh, Nepal and Pakistan

The project will conduct an in-depth assessment among the three south Asian countries to assess health vulnerabilities of inbound and outbound migrants, including their access to health and other social services, a mapping of governments’ responses to address these vulnerabilities, and to come up with recommendations for action.
