Migration Health Research Area/Expertise
I am a physician from the Philippines with broad interests in global health and development. In terms of migrant health, I was the consultant for the Migration Health Project between the Philippine Department of Health and the International Organization for Migration, which led to the creation of a national policy, a multi-stakeholder network, a conference, and a full-fledged program for migrant health within the DOH. I also led write the paper that compared migrant health inclusion in universal health coverage in five ASEAN countries. I am still further developing my migrant health research and projects portfolio.
