Around the world, IOM works towards addressing HIV/AIDS risks and vulnerabilities at all phases of the migration process, including at pre-departure, transit, destination and return or resettlement. IOM's global activities in the area of HIV/AIDS aims to decrease HIV/AIDS vulnerability and risk among MMPs by ensuring universal access to HIV diagnostics, prevention, treatment care and support as well as enhancing understanding on the complex interaction of HIV/AIDS and migration and countering myths and stigma towards migrants regarding HIV/AIDS.
