Migration Health Research Area/Expertise
I am an ID physician working within TB and HIV, and have many migrant patients in my clinic. In recent years I have taken up migrant health as a research area and currently, lead a group of 3 Ph.D. students and two MSc students working within migrant health on projects mainly within health screening of refugees and management of complex migrant patients in HIV care. I strive towards building a migrant health clinic at our dept and teach medical students on migrant health at our university. I am in the board of ESGTIM, the migrant health study group within ESCMID and participate in various European networking activities within migrant health as part of this working group. I am co-director of the Geosentinel site in Aarhus.
