The project aims to ensure that migrants and refugees entering Albania have access to shelter, medical support and access to assistance and services corresponding to their needs.

IOM Tirana will be responsible for the provision of reintegration assistance to 25 migrants to return to Albania through the implementation of a voluntary return pilot scheme.

The objective of the project is to establish a dedicated post arrival assistance package for Albanian victims of trafficking (VoT) in the UK, that will help them resettle in Albania in a humane and sustainable way and mitigates the risk of re-trafficking. The project will support the reintegration in Albania of 40 returned Victims of Trafficking. Depending on the circumstances the reintegration support will include: reception at the airport, accommodation, education, vocational training, start-up business activity, employment subsidiary salary and medical support.

With the support of the Missions of the International Organization for Migration in Athens and in Tirana, the specific objectives of the project are: 1) the immediate provision of psychological and social support to victims of trafficking at Tirana, 2) the prevention of the phenomenon at the specific region by implementing educational seminars at schools targeting at students and especially girls as potential victims of trafficking 3) an awareness raising campaign for the sensitisation of young women regarding the perils of trafficking.
