Migration Health Research Area/Expertise
I have been involved with community health outcomes research particularly related to vulnerable and minority groups. My previous work has been related to hearing health and access to hearing care services for communities such as at-risk workers, older Asian migrants, Pacific Island communities and indigenous Maori community. My current research interest includes worker wellbeing among migrant workers. I am particularly interested in migrant worker wellbeing. This focuses on the physical, spiritual, social, mental, and economic wellbeing of workers. In addition, I am currently working with community organisations invested in the interests of migrant communities in New Zealand.
