Migration Health Research Area/Expertise
I am an epidemiologist and active researcher in the field of migration and health and have published over 40 peer-reviewed articles, including multi-country studies, immigration policy and studies delving into the social determinants of immigrants’ health. My primary research approach to immigrant health is based on the use of administrative data linkages to identify determinants of immigrant health, wellbeing, and integration. My current research explores gender equity, women’s health, maternal and child health and development among immigrants to Canada. I am currently supervising graduate students and postdoctoral fellows working in the area.
