Migration Health Research Area/Expertise
I specialize in researching health disparities between migrants and non-migrants, focusing on the social determinants of health and disease-specific disparities in India. My particular area of interest is middle-aged and older migrants, a demographic often underrepresented in migration health studies. Currently, I'm dedicated to identifying the key factors contributing to health disparities among these groups. Through rigorous analysis of socioeconomic, cultural, and environmental elements, I aim to unravel the complex web of influences shaping their health outcomes. My research not only seeks to deepen understanding but also to drive evidence-based policies and practices that can address these disparities and enhance the well-being of migrants. I am committed to bridging the gap between research and actionable solutions, ultimately striving for a healthier and more equitable society where health disparities are diminished.
