Comprehensive Protection and Emergency Assistance to IDPs and Returnees in Harare and Mashonaland Central Provinces (CPEAR)

The project objective is to ensure provision of emergency life-saving material and legal assistance to 11000 IDPs in the districts of Harare urban, including, Gorominzi, Chegutu(mash west), Guruve, Mbire, Shamva, Muzarabani, Chiweshe/Mazoe(mash central). Addressing Protection Needs of the Most Vulnerable Groups in the Most Vulnerable Population Communities through Community Based Protection Systems in Zimbabwe (APNZ)

The project aims to provide a comprehensive humanitarian emergency assistance and early recovery package to mobile and vulnerable populations (MVP) in Zimbabwe in order for them to build the foundation for transition to peaceful reintegration into mainstream society. This will be attained through rebuilding shelter, provision of food, non-food items (NFls) and HIV and AIDS, Sexual and Gender-based Violence (SGBV) mainstreaming.

Cholera Emergency Surveillance and Response in 10 Affected Border Areas (CHESR)

The project's principal objective is to meet immediate humanitarian requirements resulting from the current cholera outbreak, and to mitigate the further spread of such outbreaks. A specific objective is to improve cholera management due to regular surveillance systems and rapid cholera outbreak response teams in targeted border areas.

Emergency Humanitarian Support to Victims of Political Violence, Harare (EHSV)

Emergency humanitarian assistance to VPVs is as a high priority. IOM will link this assistance to its existing interventions within MVP communities. The humanitarian assistance will include food and NFI distributions, shelter, and reintegration assistance through livelihood interventions. In addition, focus on reconciliation, psychosocial support and counselling for individuals and the communities will be included in this action.

Emergency Assistance to Mobile and Vulnerable Populations in Zimbabwe - Relief, Reintegration and Community Health (MVP-RRC)

This project addresses the emergency and recovery needs of mobile and vulnerable populations (MVPs) in Zimbabwe. The project will continue to provide food and non-food requirements to MVPs that were adversely impacted by man-made and natural displacement shocks. IOM will coordinate and monitor the distribution of food and non-food items (NFIs) through a network of national and international non-governmental organizations (NGOs). In addition, emergency shelter will be furnished to persons made homeless by displacement shocks.

Support for Emergency Humanitarian Assistance to Communities Affected by Post-Election Violence in Zimbabwe (CAPEV-SIDA)

This project will address the emergency humanitarian needs of victims of political violence and displacement as a result of the post-election situation in Zimbabwe. The project strategy is based on provision of assistance to individuals and communities to meet the immediate requirements during the acute phase of displacement and then continued assistance in the stable phase of displacement to ensure the stabilisation of affected households.

Emergency Assistance to MVPs in Zimbabwe Relief, Reintegration and Community Health (ERAMZ)

This project addresses the emergency and early recovery priority needs of mobile and vulnerable populations (MVPs) in Zimbabwe.
