Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration (AVRR) for Migrants Stranded or at-risk Willing to Return to their Country of Origin - Morocco

This project will contribute to the results of the Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration (AVRR) programme, aiming to assist the Government of Morocco with the return of over 5.500 migrants until the end of 2019, built on the partnerships and shared responsibility with five participating countries: Belgium, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Spain and Morocco and the European Union (on negotiations). The AVRR programme assists stranded migrants in Morocco to return back to their countries of origin.

Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration for Migrants Stranded or at-risk Willing to Return to their Country of Origin

Belgium contribution will assist to the overall achievement of the AVRR project and will specifically contribute with staff and office costs, as well as with pre-departure assistance such as medical checks and assistance, non-food items (NFI), domestic transporatation and pocket money.

Fighting against Trafficking in Persons through Capacity Building for NGOs and Law Enforcement in Morocco

In coordination with Moroccan officials most concerned by the increasing number of Victims of Human Trafficking (VoTs) (Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Justice, Ministry in charge of Migration Affairs, Inter-Ministerial Delegation for Human Rights, Ministry of Health, Entraide Nationale), and in close collaboration with civil society organizations and social protection centers, the proposed project will build upon previous initiatives to improve existing capacities of stakeholders dealing with VoTs and thus facilitate the effective protection of and assistance to VoTs in view of the forth

Fostering Health and Protection to Vulnerable Migrants Transiting through Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, Libya and Yemen

IOM is proposing a new project to continue to support and fill the gaps of the national and local actors of Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, Libya and Yemen in migration management with a focus on improving health and protection to vulnerable migrants regionally. More specifically, a follow up project in the five countries will implement a set of tailored activities to support governments and to assist vulnerable migrants and respond to their health and protection needs.

Challenges in the Reintegration of Return Migrants with Chronic Medical Conditions

This report provides insight into the lived reality of voluntary returnees with chronic medical conditions who returned to Afghanistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Ghana, UNSC resolution 1244-administered Kosovo, Mongolia and Morocco. The report was developed in the framework of the IOM project Measures to Enhance the Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration (AVRR) of Migrants with a Chronic Medical Condition Residing in the EU. The project was funded by the European Return Fund Community Actions 2011 and co-funded by the Government of the Netherlands.

National Profile of Migration of Health Professionals – Morocco

Worldwide mobility of health professionals (MoHProf) is a growing phenomenon, impacting the health systems of receiving, transit, and sending countries. EU Member States are increasingly affected by these developments - which might occur simultaneously within the same country. Therefore, the need to develop European policies to adequately address these issues is urgent. At the same time, reliable and differentiated knowledge and findings as a basis for such policy are lacking.

Promoting Psychosocial Services and Assistance for Vulnerable Migrants in Morocco

This project aims to improve psychosocial support services to migrants in Morocco through a two-fold action based on capacity-building activities for medical professionals in Morocco and on direct service provision to enhance pre-departure services offered to migrants in the context of the Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration (AVRR) programme.

Catalog for Health Systems and Active NGO in the Area of Prevention of HIV and AIDS, Morocco

Creation and promotion of a directory of health structures and NGOs active in the field of HIV / AIDS prevention and care in Morocco, 10 sub-Saharan countries and 3 European countries. General objective: this action, aimed at irregular migrants, contributes to guaranteeing their fundamental right of access to care, but also to break the transmission chain of STI / AIDS in order to preserve public health.
