Selection, Preparation and Mobilization of Migrant Workers from Honduras to Canada (SPMMHC)

Upon the request of Maple Leaf Foods in Canada, IOM Honduras will work to coordinate the recruitment, preparation and deployment of 130 Honduran workers. The process includes pre-departure orientation, health check, English training, visa applications, travel arrangements and certain integration and initial transnational communication services for 130 Honduran workers to be hired by Maple Leaf Foods for employment in their Canadian plants of Brandon (Manitoba) y Lethbridge (Alberta).

Este estudio se concentra en la donación de órganos, especialmente de riñón, por parte de personas vivas no relacionadas en el ámbito público. Otras aristas igualmente importantes de este tema, como por ejemplo el análisis del ámbito privado, merecen ser abordadas en futuras investigaciones que abonen a los hallazgos que aquí se presentan.

Development and Implementation of a Central American Joint Initiative on the Health of Migrants

The main objective of this project is to develop a Central American joint initiative on the health of migrants and their families to contribute towards a regional health approach bringing together governments, civil society organizations, development partners, academia and the private sector.

The main objective of this project is to contribute to the strengthening of governments’ capacity in El Salvador, Nicaragua, and Honduras in order to address the health needs of inbound and outbound migrants using a regional approach.
