Psychological and Social Support to Ex-Combatants in Medelllin (PSSDM) - Colombia

This project aims at recognizing, encourage and strengthening the conditions for the ex combatants living in the municipality of Medellín to participate in an integral labour training process, with individual accompaniment, seeking for the establishment of a direct link between the beneficiaries and the productive and labour market in this municipality.

Emergency Assistance for Persons in Search of International Protection and Community Strengthening in Western Venezuela, Phase XII – Colombia

Through this project, IOM seeks to provide humanitarian assistance to Colombian Persons in Search of International Protection (PSIP). IOM has also developed strong partnerships with different NGOs in Venezuela, looking to maintain and improve the offer needed by PSIP and the host communities in terms of housing, education, health and work.

Emergency Assistance Program for Persons in Search of International Protection across the Colombian Borders in Venezuela, Phase XI - Columbia

Through this project, IOM seeks to provide direct humanitarian assistance to Colombian persons in search of international protection (PSIP), and strengthen local and national governments programs focused on PSIP communities, in order to reduce the vulnerabilities they experience in the host country. During the eleventh phase of the project IOM will work towards the following: 1) Access to shelter, food and non-food items (NFI) 2) Access to health services 3) Access to education 4) Transportation Fund and Documentation

Construction of Single Family Shelters, Colombia (CSFS)

This project proposal aims at providing emergency shelter material and technical assistance for the construction of temporary shelters assigned to 3,750 persons, affected by the floods in the departments of Sucre and Bolivar. This project will be developed in coordination with Colombian Red Cross, who will be IOM's implementing partner. Colombian Red Cross is a well recognized national organization, whose humanitarian mission is in the prevention and the alleviation of suffering of human beings in all circumstances, as well as to protect the life and health of all.

Emergency Assistance Program for Colombians in Search of International Protection across the Colombian Border with Ecuador, Panama and Venezuela Phase IV (EAPC-IV)

The proposed Emergency Assistance Program will provide a comprehensive range of technical and material support to address the emergency situation faced by people displaced by the Colombian conflict. Although the flow of new internally displaced people (IDPs), according to the Government of Colombia (GOC), has declined slightly over the past three years, the Colombian refugee population in border areas continues to grow.

Construction and Equipment of Shelters to Assist the Population Victim of the Rainy Season in the Mojana Region - Colombia (CES)

The project intends to contribute to save the life of the victims trough the supply, installation and equipment of shelters built on raised wooden stilts to assist the inhabitants of the flooded localities that have not wanted to move to the shelters located in the urban zones of the municipalities affected, by fear to lose by looting all their furniture and what is left of their houses.

Improving the Quality of Life of the Village of 1,050 families Tanela, Unguia Municipality, Chocó through Consultation with the Community Design for Water Supply and Wastewater Treatment, Colombia

The project's overall objective, the development and structuring of a comprehensive design of water supply and wastewater management to benefit 1,050 returnee families (7,000 people) and is currently located in a plot of 350 hectares in the district of Tanela, Unguía municipality, department of Chocó.

Educational and Community Strategy for Dengue Prevention in the Municipality of San Jose de Cucuta, Colombia (ECSDP)

The Project proposes to develop a comprehensive intervention in Norte de Santander Department through a health education strategy with active participation of the community and changes in the infrastructure of housing, identified as major risk factors (washing and sanitizing water collection tanks) to improve the health status of this population and preventing dengue.

Improving the Conditions of the Children in Tumaco, Colombia through Educational and Nutritional Care (ENCT)

The project's main objective is the construction of the multiple home "Cristo Rey" in the village of Imbili, municipality of Tumaco, Nariño department, in which they provide care and nutritional care of 50 children and their families. Currently the target population is served by the ICBF in 2 Family Welfare Homes that are scattered and remote community in which the spaces do not have the minimum areas required to implement educational activities to advance in the normal intellectual and physical development of children.

Implementation of the Policy of Income Generation with Psychosocial Approach in Colombia (PIGPA)

The project aims to promote the strengthening of institutional capacity of local authorities in enforcing compliance with the ruling of T-025 2004 and follow the orders issued in 2008 and 2009, and 3616, 2009 Conpes implementation of the policy of income generation with psychosocial approach.
