Migration Health Research Area/Expertise
Uday’s primary research interests focus on health and social issues faced by migrants in Asia and the Pacific region. He comes from a Public Health background and has more than three years of work experience in program implementation and policy advocacy as a Program and Policy Manager in Nepal. He played a pivotal role in implementing the early childhood development program for migrant children and the documentation of India going Nepalese migrants in Mid and Far- West Nepal for the first time.
Currently, he is a Ph.D. student at Centre for Primary Health Care and Equity, UNSW Sydney under the supervision of Prof.Mark Fort Harries, A/P Jane Lloyd and Dr. Hassan Hosseinzadeh. His research aimed to co-design a model of care for multi-morbid COPD patients in Nepal.
