Migration Health Research Area/Expertise:
I have been involved in international research (EU and in Portuguese-speaking African countries) and national projects concerning migrants’ health, including health promotion, access and use of health services research, maternal health, HIV/other STI prevention, key-populations and those more vulnerable, transnational health, and community intervention. I also have been involved in the conceptual and methodological development in research and intervention (policy and practice) with migrant vulnerable populations, using community-based participatory research, combining quantitative and qualitative methods, promoting the exchange of information and a basis for comparative studies.
