Migration Health Research Area/Expertise:
My teaching and research interests center on issues of gender studies, leisure and sport, sports media, disability and sport, sports pedagogy, as well as migrant leisure. I am an Associate Professor in the Office of Physical Education & Graduate Institute of Physical Education, Health, and Leisure Studies and also an associate researcher at the Center for gender & women’s studies at National Cheng-Kung University, Taiwan. Currently, the ongoing research project “Marriage Migrant Women in Asia” funded by the Worldwide Universities Network (WUN) concentrated on the lifestyle of marriage migrant women in Taiwan. In particular, the research topics such as the self-caring system and leisure activity of southeast Asian marriage migrant women are addressed.
