Dr. Dominik Zenner is Consultant Epidemiologist in the national TB section at the National Infection Service, PHE Colindale and head of TB screening. He is dually accredited and also a practicing General Practitioner in London. He has a keen academic and strategic interest in TB surveillance, control and screening and helped develop and implementing the TB strategy for England. He currently leads the roll out of the national LTBI screening programme in England, a £10 million funded key intervention of the national strategy and also leads on the UK pre-entry screening programme for active TB.
He is Associate Editor to the Journal of Infectious Diseases in Developing Countries and PHE senior representative to the British Paediatric Surveillance Unit. He has published widely on infectious disease epidemiological subjects including several high impact publications on TB and holds honorary posts as Senior Clinical Lecturer in Imperial College, London and University College London. He has won several prizes for TB-related studies, including the Young Investigator award from the European Respiratory Society for his work on TB in Pregnancy and his work has informed national and international policy, including WHO guidelines.
