Establishment of Planned IDP Camp in Idleb and Provision of Multisectoral Assistance for Newly Arrived IDPs Affected by the Conflict in Northern Syria

This project will establish a planned camp for the 5,400 newly displaced populations affected by the ongoing conflict, including forced evacuations, and provide multisector assistance to te IDPs including temporary shelter, non-food items, WASH, Food, Protection and Health in Idleb Governate. IOM wil work with Maram Foundation as the local Syrian NGO has experience of establishing and running similar projects across Northern Syrian.

Wash Assistance to the Conflict-Affected Communities in Non-Government-Controlled Areas of Ukraine

The delicate socio-political context in the non-government-controlled areas (NGCAs) of Ukraine resulting from the self-proclamation of the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics is reflected in a fragile public service system and very weak local economy. Access to basic services - water, electricity, heating, furniture/equipment, basic food and non-food commodities, hygiene consumables - varies throughout the areas but is insufficient to meet the overall needs of the conflict-affected communities.

Humanitarian Assistance and Social Stabilization for Syrian Refugees in Turkey - Switzerland

The Syria crisis is entering its fifth year and millions of Syrians are seeking refuge in neighboring countries including Turkey. It is estimated that over 12.2 million individuals inside Syria now require humanitarian assistance and 7.6 million are internally displaced (SRP 2015-2016). With this project, IOM proposes to ensure the sustainability of the activities previously funded by the Government of Japan through the provision of transportation services from camps to health facilities and between camps as needed, provision of transportation assistance for children to access schools.

Transportation Assistance and Community Support Services for Syrian Refugees in Turkey

The project will provide emergency assistance and protection to the refugees in the camps and will build the resilience of Syrians living outside the camps by providing access to vocational trainings, psychosocial support and socio-cultural activities and ensure access to school for Syrian children living outside the camps.

Emergency Assistance to BIH Floods-Affected Populations

The overall objective of this project is to contribute to the improvement in living conditions of populations affected by the floods in Bosnia and Herzegovina through the provision of urgently needed life-saving emergency shelter. The intervention shall aim to reduce levels of morbidity and mortality among vulnerable displaced populations returning to flood-affected communities in BiH, with special attention accorded to women, children, the sick and elderly and those with special needs. To date 25 persons died and there is no confirmation about the number of missing persons.

Rapid Relief Assistance and Psycho-social Support to Earthquake Displaced Households in Eastern Turkey (RRAH)

The objective of the project is to provide non-food-items winter kits to protect particularly vulnerable earthquake affected families from severe winter temperatures and to provide direct psychosocial support, psychological first aid and counseling to individuals and families in the earthquake affected areas in order to prevent avoidable morbidity, mortality and disability.

Programme for Psychosocial Assistance in Conflict Affected Communities in the City of Osh and Osh Oblast, Kyrgyzstan (PPAC)

This project proposed immediate interventions in several directions: (1) legal assistance to returning IDPs and refugees and the affected population. Main focus on restoring lost documents, ID cards, property titles, passports, school certificates, (2) psychosocial assistance to returning population through rehabilitation and reintegration programmes, (3) assessment mission of land and property issues as an underlying cause of conflict with a primary focus on: a. Lost/destroyed property documents, b. Competing claims for land, c.

Enhancing Social Protection for Migrants in Vulnerable Situation in Serbia

IOM has witnessed an increase in overall protection concerns amongst stranded migrants in the reception centres, particularly among UAMC. The aim of this proposed project, IOM in close coordination with MoLESVP, will be twofold: 1. More coherent and more coordinated provision of psychosocial support in the reception centres; 2. Improved provision of community-based social protection services to migrants as well as organisation of leisure time.

The Moldova Youth Health and Well-Being Survey Sanatatea Mea

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and IOM will lead the design and implementation of the Moldova youth health and well-being survey Sanatatea Mea, a quantitative study designed to estimate the prevalence of violence against children and youth, as well as to identify risk and protective factors for violence, and examine health consequences of violence.
