Through this collaboration with the US CDC, IOM will capitalize and build on its health technical and operational expertise to better respond to humanitarian and public health emergencies globally. Enhancing Protection and Improving Knowledge of the Risks of Irregular Migration in Sudan Phase IV

The influx of refugees and other migrants into and through Sudan is expected to persist into 2018. This proposed fourth Phase of the project will further develop the MRRC to cater to the needs of vulnerable migrants and enhance the relevance of its assistance based on lessons learnt through implementation of the previous project phases as well as the findings of the external evaluations and beneficiary feedback exercises. Support provided to migrants will include medical and psychosocial support as well as assisted voluntary return and reintegration for stranded migrants in Sudan to countries of origin, and community outreach activities; the project will continue to enable migrants to make informed decisions, to receive the support required, and to find alternatives to irregular migration.
Provision of Integration Support to Asylum Seekers and Beneficiaries of International Protection in Bulgaria

Under this project IOM will provide administrative, legal, health, psychological and social support to asylum seekers and beneficiaries of international protection by an expert team consisting of a psychologist (1), a social worker (1) and a legal counselor (1) in SAR reception centers in the country (Sofia, Harmanli, Pastrogor, Baniya) and at the premises of IOM offices (Sofia and Harmanli). In order to strengthen the collaboration and communication with institutions and create a mechanism for better cooperation with relevant institutions, the team will be supported by part time legal/administrative experts based in the IOM Sofia office and in the Harmanli sub-office.
Consolidate Direct Assistance Services to Vulnerable Migrants along Migratory Routes in Egypt (CASE)

This Action will directly respond to the protection needs of irregular migrants in Egypt in order to contribute to establishing a protection sphere by promoting sustainable and rights-based solutions for vulnerable populations while preventing irregular migration from, to, and through North Africa to Europe. For this purpose, lOM will establish dedicated migrant assistance facilities in Alexandria to consolidate the provision of protection services. At least 570 vulnerable migrants will receive localized assistance (including socio economic and medical) to address their humanitarian needs.

The overall objective of the ‘Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration (AVRR)’ project in support of the ‘Regional Development and Protection Programme (RDPP) for North Africa (NA)’ is to contribute to enhancing the government of Algeria’s management of migration through efficient voluntary return of migrants in irregular situation in Algeria and sustainable reintegration in their countries of origin. The project will ensure pre-departure counselling and information services, predeparture medical examination, air transport, in-transit, post- arrival and reintegration assistance to 600 migrants.
Community-Driven Inclusion of IDPs and Host Communities in Dohuk Governorate through Provision of Economic Opportunities and Psychosocial Support

The goal is to contribute to the psychosocial wellbeing and to the income generating opportunities for vulnerable and displaced women in Dohuk and Ninewa. Through a capacity building program for 10-15 local Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), with a comprehensive training and follow-up coaching, IOM will equip grass root humanitarian actors to address the most immediate needs. Targeted livelihoods support through business support packages and training for selected capable entrepreneurial beneficiaries will empower women. Specialised PSS services will be provided to limited number of serious cases.
Promoting Community Cohesion for Syrian Female Refugees and Members of their Hosting Communities

Music Therapy for Unaccompanied Migrant Children: A Pilot Project in Chios Island

Through this music therapy intervention, IOM intends to: a) Create a safe environment for a group of unaccompanied migrant children (UMC) currently hosted in the hot-spot of the Chios island by increasing their self-regulation and coping skills as well as enhancing their social interactions and resilience. b) Develop a module of music therapy interventions with children in transitional situations that can be replicated in other similar situations.
Supporting National Level Migration Health Coordination Mechanisms in Asia

The project will support the Ministries of Health in Cambodia, the Philippines and Thailand to establish national level multi-sectoral migrant health coordination mechanisms, conduct national situational analysis and technical thematic research on migrant health, to support the development of national action plans to respond to new global level guidance on principles and priorities for addressing migrant health. The project will ultimately facilitate and support Ministries of Health in the three targeted countries in the development of locally adapted, action oriented strategic and operational plans at the national level. The objective of this project is to contribute to an environment which enables migrants, their families and migration-affected communites to enjoy the benefits of good physical health and wellbeing. This will be done through building capacity to address the mobility dimensions of sexual and reproductive health (SRH), violence against women and girls (VAWG), and communicable diseases in Fiji, Papua New Guinea (PNG), Vanuatu and Solomon Islands (SOI). The expected outcome of the project is that governments and the civil society develop, update and deliver community health policies and programmes that are sensitive to gender and mobility. To enable this outcome, IOM will ensure stakeholders have access to up-to-date strategic information relating to the mobility dimensions of community health (VAWG, SRH & communicable diseases).
